Union Senior Center

Ground Breaking

The Suwannee River Economic Council, Inc., City of Lake Butler and the Union Board

of County Commissioners held the ground breaking for the Union Senior Center on

February 23, 2009.

The 4,500 square foot center will be constructed on property contributed by the City of

Lake Butler. The site preparation will be provided by the Union Board of County

Commissioners and inmate labor by the Reception and Medical Center Correctional

Institution.

The beginning of this reality would not have occurred without the contributions by the

City of Lake Butler and Union County.
