SPECIAL MEETING

                                      CITY OF LAKE BUTLER

COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY

 JUNE 2, 2008

CALL TO ORDER - ROLL CALL: Mayor Crawford called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and read the following notice:  “If a person decides to appeal a decision made with respect to any matter at this meeting or hearing, he will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record is made”. Mayor Crawford, Commissioners Beasley, Myers, Stalvey, City Attorney Maines, and City Manager Berchtold were present. Commissioner R. Crawford was absent.

ITEM A.   PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE – Mayor Brantley Crawford led the pledge of allegiance.

ITEM B.  APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA FORMAT

Motion made by Stalvey, second by Beasley and carried unanimously to approve the Agenda Format.

ITEM C.   PROVISION FOR CITIZEN INPUT

There were no public comments.

ITEM 1. EARMARK OF FUNDS FOR LIFT STATION

Motion made by Stalvey, second by Beasley and carried unanimously to earmark funds in the amount of $82,620 for the Lift Station.

ITEM 2. EARMARK OF FUNDS FOR LAKE STREET RESURFACING

Motion made by Stalvey, second by Beasley and carried unanimously to earmark funds in the amount of $61,000 for Lake Street resurfacing.

ITEM 3. EARMARK OF FUNDS FOR TRAIL PROJECT

Motion made by Stalvey, second by Beasley and carried unanimously to earmark funds in the amount of $10,000 for the Trail project.

DISCUSSION

Commission Beasley requested information regarding monies available for the completion of the porch at the Townsend Building.

City Manager Berchtold presented request from Union County Extension Office requesting financial assistance in the amount of $320.  This amount is the cost to print four portable signs for the Farmers Market.

Motion made by Stalvey, second by Beasley and carried unanimously to approve the Agenda Format
