There are no state or local personal income taxes, and no state ad valorem tax. Food and drugs are exempt from the seven-percent sales and use tax. For 2006, local property taxes were levied at the rate of 10 mils per 1,000 of assessed value in the county, with an additional millage levied inside the city limits of Lake Butler, Worthington Springs, and Raiford.
